Congratulations to the 6th Annual Flex Your Power Award Winners and Honorable Mention Recipients!

Flex Your Power is proud to announce the winners of the 6th Annual Flex Your Power Awards. Winners were honored at a luncheon ceremony on December 15, 2008 in San Francisco.
Each year, Flex Your Power seeks to recognize companies, organizations, businesses, and local governments across California that have made outstanding efforts to save energy. This year, we received many strong applications with inspiring stories from around the state. With projects ranging from innovative efficiency upgrades, to effective water-saving strategies, to comprehensive educational programs and beyond, this year’s winners and honorable mentions are proving that California truly does lead the way in energy savings. All together, this year’s award winners have saved more than $227 million, 1.5 billion kilowatt hours, 122 billion gallons of water and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 1.3 billion pounds.
The success does not stop there. Cumulatively, award winners over the last three years have saved more than $500 million, three billion kilowatt hours and reduced greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to removing more than 230,000 cars from the road.
Following are the 6th Annual Flex Your Power Award Winners and Honorable Mention Recipients. Please visit the Flex Your Power Awards website to learn more about our winners and to learn what you can do to lead the way in energy efficiency and join the fight against global warming.
