Self-Adjusting Irrigation Controller Rebates. EBMUD customers who use more than 750 gallons per day of summer irrigation and replace an existing irrigation timer with a qualifying model may be eligible for a rebate of $100, $150, or $200 per controller, depending on water consumption history. WaterSmart Customized Rebates. EBMUD’s Customized Rebate Program helps commercial, industrial and institutional customers save money with financial incentives on capital expenditures for retrofit of existing equipment with more water-efficient technologies. This program applies to hardware upgrade(s) including equipment and technology for space cooling, refrigeration, laundry, cleaning, and flushing. Submeter Retrofit, up to Apartment owners can get a rebate up to $250 per dwelling unit |
Submeters allow people who live in apartments, mobile homes, condominiums and townhomes to monitor their water use, which encourages conservation. Rebates are available to multi-family property owners who 1) install water meters on individual dwelling units, 2) meter and bill residents for water, and 3) install water-efficient toilets, showerheads, and faucet aerators when required.
